How to plan SEO for your blog after Google’s latest update

After the Google’s update, many webmasters have to change their strategies to get the ranking back on the major search engines such as Google. However, they are unaware of what they have to alter so that they can get the desired results

Below mentioned are some of the key areas which tell you how it has changed ever since the update from Google has hit the IT industry:

  • Keyword usage

In the past, while writing articles and content for the website, the usage of the keyword was less complicated. The same keyword could be used over and over again to make the link building. This scenario has changed after Google’s update. Now, Google verifies the keyword variation within the content. The identical anchor text would not be accepted as per the new algorithm. This has leaded the webmasters to identify unique keywords for placement of the links and the anchor text.

  • H1 Tags

After the Google’s update, not much preference is given to the H1 tags as much as it used to give in the past.  Earlier, the blogger used to place keywords in the Title tags and H1 tags and used to get rankings. Nowadays, it is recommended to keep the identical keywords for both H1 tags and Title tags because H1 tags are hardly considered by the algorithms.

  • Reciprocal or Exchange links

The bloggers used to get the links by exchanging links with other websites to increase the traffic on the websites. The link quality was considered by the Google and the ranking was based on the number of links. In this case, the link building was established to get the links from various sources. The scenario has changed now and the reciprocal links are considered as a bad SEO practice. The quality of the link and anchor text has to be according to the algorithms of Google. The ranking criteria have changed a lot.

  • Content creation

Before the Google updates came into the IT industry, the on-site content was given more preference. These days, off-site content is given more preference by the search engines. That is why, bloggers are switching to guest posting because they can find lucrative opportunities to get quality links to their websites. Earlier, they used to put a lot of content on their blogs. This practice has to be changed after the Google’s update.

  • Social SEO

In the past, search engine optimization was implemented on the websites to improve traffic on the sites to increase more traffic, sales and hence, the profits. However, social SEO should be implemented to increase the natural traffic. This way, the traffic on the site is more relevant as compared to the search engine optimization techniques.

By following above mentioned modified online marketing techniques would definitely help webmasters to deal with the situations after Google’s update.
