There was a debate held at our company about directory submission effectiveness. Many oppose the fact that directory submission is not effective till date and it’s a gone day’s way to build links. But you will find that it is not correct when you will reach the end of this article. There are many ways in which you can get benefits from directory submission but it all depends upon your efforts.

You know about building links and as many backlinks you can get good ranking. But this is not true. If you keep quality at the top of list instead of quantity of links then you are going to rule your niche market and drag all the competitors down the earth. It is recommended that you need to first research for quality directories and then start submitting your site. This way you will not waste your time and efforts in submitting your site and you will get quality links. Now Google have made a priority for quality links and these websites are more authorized in eyes of Google.

There are many directories that can get you quality links and one such is Dmoz. It has authority in eyes of Google and if you get link from it then you will also get much advantage. This way you will get traffic as well.
There are many directories except Dmoz through which you can get quality links. But they would be paid one but they also gives you review area where other can write reviews for you. You might not get approve by some of the directories because of their terms and conditions but you will get the refund if it happens

Link building is main emphasis of Google or any other search engine algorithm. Thus every webmaster invests more time in building solid links to their website. There are many companies which provide specially services such as link building or optimizing a website. They always search for quality links rather than quantity. They always include directory submission in their promotion activities as it is best way to get backlinks.

Many people will know your brand until they know your website. Submitting website to directory increase the brand exposure.
